Sensex down 100pts; TCS, HDFC up 2%

After opening 156 points lower at 9,684, the Sensex dropped to a low of 9,559. The index rebounded and touched a high of 9,891, but slipped back in red again and is now down 95 points at 9,745.

DLF has slumped over 5% to Rs 254. Mahindra & Mahindra and Hindustan Unilever have plunged 3.7% each to Rs 344 and Rs 237, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Sterlite and Maruti have tumbled 3.5% each to Rs 419, Rs 240 and Rs 552, respectively.

Hindalco and Tata Motors have slipped around 3% each to Rs 58 and Rs 151, respectively.

ITC and Reliance have declined 2% each to Rs 169 and Rs 1,184, respectively.

ONGC and ACC are down 1.7% each at Rs 722 and Rs 465, respectively.

Tata Power has surged 3.5% to Rs 780. TCS has rallied 2.5% to Rs 539.

HDFC has moved up 1.8% to Rs 1,686. NTPC and Infosys have added 1.5% each to Rs 154 and Rs 1,272, respectively.

Wipro is up over 1% at Rs 251.
