Sensex down 180pts; Tata Steel, Rel Infra weak

The Sensex touched a low of 8,619, and is now down 178 points at 8,665.

HDFC has slumped nearly 5% to Rs 1,288. Tata Steel and Reliance Infrastructure have plunged around 4.5% each to Rs 160 and Rs 470, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Sterlite and Jaiprakash Associates have dropped over 4% each to Rs 322, Rs 238 and Rs 64, respectively.

DLF has slipped 3.8% to Rs 149. Reliance has declined over 3% to Rs 1,213.

HDFC Bank is down nearly 3% to Rs 842. Wipro is down 2.6% to Rs 210.
