Sensex down 755pts; breadth extremely -ve

The Sensex is now down 755 points 13,246.

Reliance Infrastructure has slumped nearly 11% to Rs 828. Satyam has plunged 10% to Rs 366.

Sterlite and Jaiprakash Associates have tumbled around 9% each to Rs 442 and Rs 144, respectively.

DLF has dropped 8% to Rs 431. Reliance Communications has shed 7.5% at Rs 362.

Wipro, ICICI Bank, ONGC and TCS have slipped 7% each to RS 390, Rs 607, Rs 951 and Rs 752, respectively.

BHEL, Infosys and SBI are down around 6.5% each at Rs 1,582, Rs 1,538 and Rs 1,417, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,388 stocks traded so far, 2,133 have declined, 211 have advanced and 44 are unchanged.
