Sensex down 758pts; Rel Infra, Satyam plunge 10%
The Sensex is now down 758 points 13,243.
Reliance Infrastructure has slumped over 11% to Rs 825. Satyam has plunged nearly 10% to Rs 366.
DLF has shed 8.5% at Rs 428. Sterlite and Jaiprakash Associates have tumbled 8% each to Rs 448 and Rs 145, respectively.
Reliance Communications has dropped 7.5% at Rs 362. ICICI Bank, TCS, Ranbaxy and Wipro have slipped around 6.5% each to RS 610, Rs 755, Rs 424 and Rs 393, respectively.
ONGC, BHEL and Infosys have also declined around 6.5% each to Rs 957, Rs 1,588 and Rs 1,540, respectively.
Tata Motors has dropped over 6% to Rs 387. Tata Steel and SBI are down around 5.5% each at Rs 494 and Rs 1,431, respectively.
Out of 2,482 stocks traded so far, 2,233 have declined, 209 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
