Sensex down around 700pts; Infosys in green

The Sensex is now down 723 points at 9,613.

Satyam has slumped over 77% to Rs 41.

Jaiprakash Associates has plunged 26% to Rs 75. Reliance Communications has tumbled 16% to Rs 209.

DLF has shed 15% at Rs 238. Reliance Infrastructure has dropped nearly 13% to Rs 564.

Reliance has slipped 10% to Rs 1,231. ICICI Bank has declined nearly 9% to Rs 478, and HDFC Bank is down 7.5% at Rs 1,019.

Hindustan Unilever and Infosys, however, are up over 1% each at Rs 250 and Rs 1,182, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,538 stocks traded so far, 2,127 have declined, 353 have advanced and 58 are unchanged.
