Sensex down nearly 200pts; ONGC gains 3%

The Sensex is now down 181 points 13,338.

Ranbaxy has plunged over 7% to Rs 377. ICICI Bank has slumped 6.5% to Rs 553.

Sterlite and ITC have shed nearly 4.5% each at Rs 457 and Rs 186, respectively.

SBI has tumbled 3% to Rs 1,539. Reliance and Tata Steel have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 1,883 and Rs 477, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slipped 2% to Rs 759. Maruti, DLF and BHEL have declined 1.8% each to Rs 685, Rs 415 and Rs 1,619, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Hindustan Unilever, TCS, Grasim and NTPC are down 1.5% each.

ONGC has surged over 3% to Rs 982. Infosys has rallied over 2% to Rs 1,599.

Tata Motors and Satyam have advanced 1.4% each to Rs 404 and Rs 361, respectively.

Out of 2,371 stocks traded so far, 1,203 have declined, 1,083 have advanced and 85 are unchanged.
