Sensex down over 100pts; Infosys slips 3%

The Sensex opened 60 points lower at 9,559, and then touched a high of 9,574 in early morning trades. The index is now down 110 points at 9,508.

Ranbaxy and Infosys have plunged around 3% each to Rs 214 and Rs 1,265, respectively. Sterlite has shed 2.5% at Rs 267.

ONGC, ICICI Bank and Maruti have dropped 2% each to Rs 693, Rs 427 and Rs 621, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance and Tata Steel have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 76, Rs 1,363 and Rs 188, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, Tata Power and Wipro have declined 1.3% each to Rs 665, Rs 798 and Rs 219, respectively.

DLF, however, has gained 2.5% at Rs 155. Mahindra & Mahindra is up 1% at Rs 283.
