Sensex down over 400pts; Bharti Airtel shed 8%

The Sensex is now down 408 points at 9,712.

Tata Steel has slumped nearly 13% to Rs 188. Tata Motors have plunged 12% to Rs 160. Sterlite has shed 10.5% at Rs 240. Hindalco has tumbled 9% to Rs 56.

Bharti Airtel has shed 7.7% at Rs 632. Reliance and Grasim have slipped nearly 6% each to Rs 1,195 and Rs 988, respectively.

Tata Power has declined 5.6% to Rs 703. SBI and DLF have dropped 4.5% each to Rs 1,215 and Rs 253, respectively.

HDFC is down 4% at Rs 1,682. Reliance Communications, ACC and ICICI Bank are down 3.5% each at Rs 218, Rs 454 and Rs 436, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged over 2% to Rs 214. Hindustan Unilever has advanced over 1% to Rs 241.
