The Sensex finally ended (provisional) at 16,244, down 20 points.
The NSE Nifty finally ended (provisional) at 4,821, down 8 points.

The Sensex is still languishing in the negative zone. The index is now at 16,170, down 93 points. The NSE Nifty is now at 4,797, down 32 points.
Among the sectoral indices, BSE realty index has declined the most. The index has shed around 1.5% to 4,186.
Sterlite has slipped 3.5% to Rs 720. Hindalco, Grasim and DLF have declined 2.5% each to Rs 121, Rs 2,590 and Rs 390, respectively.
Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank and ONGC have decreased 1.5% each to Rs 292, Rs 822 and Rs 1,160, respectively.
Among the Nifty stocks, Jindal Steel and Unitech have declined 2.5% each to Rs 575 and Rs 105, respectively.
Tata Motors has gained 2.5% to Rs 565. Tata Steel and SBI have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 478 and Rs 1,953, respectively.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,821 stocks, 1,411 have advanced, while 1,331 have declined.
