Sensex ends up 217 points at 15,407

The index moved in a range of 220 points between 15,333 (low) and 15,553 (high) before finally settling (provisional) with a gain of 217 points at 15,407.

The market breadth was positive - out of 2,724 stocks traded, 1,741 advanced, 907 declined and 76 were unchanged today.

The NSE Nifty ended (provisional) with a gain of 54 points at 4,571.
