The BSE Sensex ended (provisional) at 16,109, up 93 points. The NSE Nifty ended (provisional) at 4,800, up 17 points.

The Sensex has moved up from day's low of 16,030. The index is now at 16,112, up 96 points. The NSE Nifty is now at 4,803, up 20 points.
Among the sectoral indices, BSE metal index continues to gain, followed by oil & gas and bankex. However, FMCG index has led the decline followed by auto index.
Hindalco has surged 5.5% to Rs 114. Sterlite has rallied over 4% to Rs 736.
Reliance Infrastructure, SBI and Reliance have gained 3.5% each to Rs 1,204, Rs 1,879 and Rs 2,070.
Tata Steel has advanced 3.5% to Rs 456. Hero Honda and TCS
Hindustan Unilever has declined nearly 3% to Rs 266. Tata Power has has shed 2.5% to Rs 1,285.
Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 1,525 and Rs 844, respectively.
Reliance Communications has shed 1.5% to Rs 306, after gaining continuously for 12 days.
The market breadth is negative - out of 2,866 stocks, 1,441 have declined, while 1,349 have advanced.
