The Sensex continues to remain lacklustre and is now at 16,965, down 170 points.
The NSE Nifty is at 5,032, down 51 points.
Reliance Infrastructure has advanced 3% to Rs 1,240. ITC and Sun Pharma have added 2% each to Rs 237 and Rs 1,423, respectively.
Grasim has slipped around 5% each to Rs 2,570. Bharti Airtel has dropped 3% to Rs 422.
Maruti, SBI, Hindalco, DLF and Reliance have declined over 1.5% each to Rs 1,619, Rs 2,167, Rs 124, Rs 433 and Rs 2,135, respectively.
The BSE Realty index and the oil &gas indices have slipped around 1.5% each.
The market breadth remains negative, out of 2,632 shares traded, 1,552 declined and 1,019 advanced on the BSE.
