The Sensex is firm and has touched a high of 13,741, up 341 points from the previous close.
The index is now at 13,738, up 338 points.
Among the sectoral indices realty index leads the rally so far, up 6%, followed by metal (4.6%) and consumer durables (4.31%).
Reliance Infrastructure has surged over 7% to Rs 1,037.
ICICI Bank and DLF have advanced over 6% each to Rs 672 and Rs 286, respectively.
Tata Steel, BHEL, Tata Motors and Jaiprakash Associates have added 5% each.
Reliance Communications, Sterlite, Larsen & Toubro and ACC are up over 3.5% each.
On the other both Infosys and Hero Honda remain marginally negative.
The market breadth is fairly positive -out of 2,326 shares traded, 1,703 have advanced and 554 have declined so far on the BSE.
