After the initial uncertainty, the Sensex continues to firm up and is now up 341 points at 8,792.
TCS has zoomed over 7% to Rs 503. BHEL and Reliance Communications have soared 6.5% each to Rs 1,272 and Rs 194, respectively.
Sterlite, Wipro and Hindalco have surged over 6% each to Rs 213, Rs 233 and Rs 53, respectively.
Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 5.5% each to Rs 624, Rs 318 and Rs 448, respectively.
HDFC, ONGC and NTPC have gained over 5% each at Rs 1,357, Rs 684 and Rs 145, respectively.
Infosys and SBI have moved up 4.7% each to Rs 1,181 and Rs 1,143, respectively.
Maruti and Larsen & Toubro have added 4.5% each to Rs 505 and Rs 744, respectively.
HDFC Bank and Tata Motors are up around 4% each at Rs 857 and Rs 131, respectively.
DLF, however, has slipped over 4% to Rs 197.
