Sensex firm; DLF up 5%

The Sensex is now at 14,986, up 73 points.

DLF has soared 4.5% to Rs 353. NTPC has added 2.5% to Rs 209.

Larsen & Toubro, Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Infrastrcuture have advanced around 2% each to Rs 1,639, Rs 219 and Rs 1,316, respectively.

Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and BHEL are up 1% each.

Tata Steel has slipped 1.6% to Rs 431 and ONGC has dropped 1% to Rs 1,122, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive, out of 1,916 shares traded, 1,276 have advanced and 573 have declined os far on the BSE.

The BSE Realty advanced around 4% to 3,564.
