The Sensex slipped into the red to touch a low of 14,355. The index has however recovered from there and is now at 14,553, up 60 points.The BSE Realty index has advanced 2% to 3,277.
Hindustan Unilever has gained around 2% to Rs 272.
Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors are up above 1% each at Rs 814 and Rs 294, respectively.
Hindalco has slipped 5.5% to Rs 82.
Jaiprakash Associates has dropped 3% to Rs 199 and Reliance Infrastructure has declined around 2% to Rs 1,177.
Tata Steel and Reliance Communication are up 1.5% each at Rs 384 and Rs 285, respectively.
The market breadth is negative- out of 2,330 shares traded, 1,512 have declined and 729 have advanced so far on the BSE.
