The Sensex has recovered partially and is now down 60 points at 8,843. The index had dropped to a low of 8,788 in early trades this morning.
Ranbaxy has slumped 15% to Rs 176. ICICI Bank and HDFC have tumbled over 4% each to Rs 326 and Rs 1,202, respectively.
DLF has shed 3% at Rs 150. Jaiprakash Associates and HDFC Bank have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 66 and Rs 852, respectively.
BHEL, SBI and Tata Power are down over 1% each to Rs 1,362, Rs 1,025 and Rs 735, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has surged 2% to Rs 625. Grasim has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,431, and TCS is up 1% at Rs 484.
