The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 14,046 on the back of better-than-expected July IIP (Index of Industrial Prodcution) numbers where India's indsutrail output rose to 7.1%. The index is now down 197 points at 14,128.
Infosys has slumped over 5% to Rs 1,657. Satyam has plunged 3% to Rs 409.
HDFC and ICICI Bank have shed 2.3% each at Rs 2,212 and Rs 671, respectively.
DLF and Wipro have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 478 and Rs 421, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and TCS have dropped 1.4% each to Rs 160 and Rs 825, respectivey.
Reliance Infrastructure, Grasim, SBI and Reliance are down over 1% each.
Maruti has soared over 4% to Rs 708. BHEL has surged over 3% to Rs 1,718.
Tata Power has gained 2% at Rs 1,033. NTPC and Hindalco have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 176 and Rs 124, respectively.
ONGC is up 1% at Rs 1,046.
