The Sensex still remains lacklustre and is now at 17,530, up 11 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,246, up one point.
Among the Sensex-30 pack, Bharti Airtel and Hero Honda have advanced 2% each to Rs 306 and Rs 1,967, respectively.
SBI, Tata Power, Reliance Communication, Grasim Industries and Sterlite are up 1% each on the Sensex.
HDFC on the other hand has slipped 1% to Rs 2,700. Sun Pharma and Mahindra & Mahindra are the other major losers on the Sensex, down 1% each.
The BSE midcap and the smallcap indices are flat at 6,783 and 8,515, respectively.
Among the sectoral gainers, auto and the healthcare indices have added 0.5% each. Cummins India and Hero Honda are the major gainer on the auto index, up 2% each.
