Sensex slips 151pts from day's high

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and touched a low of 13,711 - down 151 points from the day's high.

The index is now down 37 points at 13,721.

Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2% to Rs 193. Tata Power, ONGC, HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank have dropped 1.5% each.

Bharti Airtel, Hero Honda, ACC, NTPC and Sun Pharma have also declined.

Meanwhile, IT stocks continue to lead the list of Sensex gainers. Wipro has surged 4.3% to Rs 388. Infosys has gained 2.5% at Rs 1,719. TCS has added 2% to Rs 397.

Sterlite and Tata Motors have gained 4% each at Rs 580 and Rs 283, respectively.

ICICI Bank and DLF have moved up 2% each to Rs 650 and Rs 284, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, BHEL, Grasim, Tata Steel, reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure are up aroudn 1% each.

The market breadth is marginally positive. Out of 2,029 stocks traded, 1,014 have advanced while 940 have declined.
