The Sensex has pared all its gains and has now dipped into the negative zone. The index is now at 16,154, down four points.
The NSE Nifty is at 4,793, down two points.

The Sensex today started the day with a gap of 33 points at 16,191 owing to positive cues from the gloabl markets. The Sensex touched a high of 16,275 and is now exhibiting firmness at 16,242,up 84 points.
The Nifty is now at 4,813, up 17 points.
INDEX MOVERS...
Tata Power and State Bank of India have soared around 2% each to Rs 1,296 and Rs 2,240, respectively. Sterlite, Reliance and Hindalco are up around 1.5% each at Rs 816, Rs 1,985 and Rs 127, respectively.
Relince Infrastructure, ICICI Bank and Tata Steel have moved up 1% each.
...AND THE SHAKERS
Reliance Communictions is the maximum loser so far, down 1% at Rs 176. ONGC, Maruti and BHEL are the other marginal losers down below 0.5% each.
Among the setoral indices, metal index leads, up 1.5%, followed by bankex (1.24%).
The market breadth is extremely positive, out of 1,407 shares traded, 1,117 have advnced and 268 have declined so fr on the BSE.
VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERS
SBI has topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs 21.71 crore. It is followed by Suzlon (Rs 21.46 crore), HDIL (Rs 19.80 crore), Sesa Goa (Rs 15.30 crore) and Reliance (Rs 14.80 crore).
Suzlon has led the volume chart on the BSE with trades of 3.87 million shares. It is followed by Cals Refineries (2.23 million), Unitech (2.22 million), IFCI (1.83 million) and Ispat Industries (1.13 million) shares.
