Sensex slumps 600pts on all-round selling

The Sensex has slumped 597 points to 9,738 on the back of all-round selling in the market.

Satyam has slumped 68% to Rs 57 on hefty volumes of over five crore shares.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Communications have tumbled over 16% each to Rs 84 and Rs 209, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, DLF and ICICI Bank have plunged over 11% each to Rs 566, Rs 246 and Rs 463, respectively.

Reliance has shed 8% at Rs 1,256. Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra & Mahindra, ACC, Tata Motors, Hindalco, Ranbaxy, SBI and HDFC Bank have dropped 4-6% each.
