The Sensex is now up 15 points at 14,057.
Tata Steel has surged 4% to Rs 499. ACC has rallied 2.8% to Rs 622, and ITC has advanced over 2% to Rs 195.
DLF has moved up 1.5% to Rs 433. HDFC, Jaiprakash Associates and Hindustan Unilever are up around 1% each at Rs 2,332, Rs 137 and Rs 247, respectively.
Maruti and Satyam have plunged over 3% each to Rs 717 and Rs 358, respectively.
Tata Motors has plunged over 2% to Rs 414. Ranbaxy and ONGC have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 350 and Rs 1,054, respectively.
Wipro and BHEL are down around 1.5% each at Rs 411 and Rs 1,688, respectively.
Out of 2,466 stocks traded so far, 1,352 have advanced, 1,043 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
