Sensex tumbles over 300pts

Heavy selling following a sharp drop in the Shanghai index has pulled down the Sensex by over 200 points. The Sensex is now down 323 points at 15,010. The NSE Nifty is down 100 points at 4,464.

The Sensex have rebounded into positive zone for a brief while, and touched a high of 15,379. However , the index has slipped into negative again and is now at 15,310, down 21 points
ONGC, TCS and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 1,134, Rs 492 and Rs 843, respectively.
Hero Honda has gained over 2% to Rs 1,712.
HDFC, Tata Power and Maruti Suzuki have added 1.5% each to Rs 2,416, Rs 1,284 and Rs 1,407, respectively.
Tata Motors has declined 3.5% to Rs 400. DLF is down nearly 3% to Rs 413.
Sun Pharma, SBI and BHEL have shed 1.5% each.
The NSE Nifty is now flat at 4,559.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,252 stocks traded 1,288 have advanced and 890 have declined.
