Sensex up 102pts, Ranbaxy up 5%

Ranbaxy has gained further; it's up 5.4% to Rs 495, Satyam is up 3% to Rs 488. HDFC, RComm, ITC, Wipro and Infosys are all up over 1% each.

Grasim has lost 3.6% to Rs 2,255, Jaiprakash Associates has fallen 2.7% to Rs 245 and ACC is down 1.9% to Rs 699. DLF, Reliance Infra and HUL are down over 1% each.
