Sensex up 135pts; breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex touched a high of 9,760, and is now up 135 points at 9,703. Earlier the day, the index opened 65 points higher at 9,633, and after extending gains slipped into red to a low of 9,547 - down 192 points from the day's high.
Jaiprakash Associates has soared 6.5% to Rs 84. Tata Motors and Tata Steel have surged around 5.5% each to Rs 182 and Rs 207, respectively.
ACC, Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied nearly 4% each to Rs 587, Rs 174 and Rs 521, respectively.
ITC and Larsen & Toubro have gained 3.5% each to Rs 185 and Rs 673, respectively.
Ranbaxy, Bharti Airtel and SBI have moved up nearly 3% each to Rs 163, Rs 627 and Rs 1,049, respectively.
Sun Pharma and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced around 2.5% each to Rs 1,108 and Rs 379, respectively.
Infosys, Reliance, TCS, DLF and Wipro are up around 2% each.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,200 stocks traded so far, 1,366 have advanced, 751 have declined and 83 are unchanged.
