Sensex up 151pts in early trades; Sterlite drops 7%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 182 points at 10,763. The index touched a high of 10,787, and is now up 151 points at 10,733.

Reliance Infrastructure, Larsen & Toubro, Wipro and Tata Motors have rallied 3% each to Rs 574, Rs 850, Rs 286 and Rs 258, respectively.

TCS has surged 2.8% to Rs 509. BHEL, Grasim and ONGC have moved up nearly 2.5% each to Rs 1,345, Rs 1,404 and Rs 822, respectively.

ITC advanced over 2% to Rs 166.

Sterlite has plunged 7% to Rs 278. ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever are down 1% each at Rs 410 and Rs 245, respectively.
