Sensex up 157pts; ITC gains 5%

The NSE Nifty is up 39 points at 4,899.

Ambuja Cements has soared 6.8% to Rs 104. ITC has surged 4.7% to Rs 219. Hindalco has gained 3.8% to Rs 193.

TCS and Satyam have advanced around 3% each to Rs 996 and Rs 514, respectively.

Wipro and Hindustan Unilever have moved up 2.3% each at Rs 503 and Rs 238, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has added 1.8% at Rs 878, while ACC is up 1.7% to Rs 667.

Cipla and Grasim are up 1.4% each to Rs 208 and Rs 2,230, respectively.

Tata Steel is up 1.3% to Rs 879.

SBI and Infosys have gained 1% each to Rs 1,489 and Rs 1,896, respectively.

On the other side, BHEL has tumbled 3.1% to Rs 1,606. Larsen & Toubro has plunged over 2% at Rs 2,686.

ONGC and Reliance Communications have lost 1% each to Rs 873 and Rs 545, respectively.

NTPC has shed 1.1% to Rs 175. ICICI Bank and Tata Motors are down around 1% to Rs 805 and Rs 621, respectively.
