Sensex up 178pts; Reliance slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 178 points at 13,039.

Satyam and Jaiprakash Associates have soared around 7% each to Rs 317 and Rs 119, respectively.

HDFC Bank has surged over 5% to Rs 1,294. Grasim and Tata Power have rallied around 4% each to Rs 1,759 and Rs 942, respectively.

Infosys and SBI have moved up around 3.5% each to Rs 1,446 and Rs 1,514, respectively.

Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank, HDFC and Wipro are up around 3% each at Rs 344, Rs 551, Rs 2,204 and Rs 349, respectively.

Reliance and DLF have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,907 and Rs 345, respectively. Tata Motors has slipped over 1% to Rs 340.

Out of 2,643 stocks traded so far, 1,450 have advanced, 1,121 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
