Sensex up 81pts in early trades

The Sensex opened 46 points higher at 9,023. The index is now up 81 points at 9,057.

Jaiprakash Associates has soared 3.5% to Rs 82. DLF and ICICI Bank have surged 3% each to Rs 177 and Rs 345, respectively.

Reliance Communications has rallied 2.7% to Rs 164, and Reliance Infrastructure has gained 2.3% at Rs 492.

Tata Steel and Sterlite have added 2% each to Rs 180 and Rs 308, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever however has slipped over 1% to Rs 230.
