Sensex up 88pts; Bharti Airtel surges 6%

The Sensex is now up 88 points at 11,067.

Bharti Airtel has gained 5.5% at Rs 726. Hindalco and ITC have advanced nearly 4% each to Rs 55 and Rs 191, respectively.

Sun Pharma has added more than 2.5% to Rs 1,213. Tata Power, Wipro, NTPC, Grasim, HDFC Bank, ONGC and Ranbaxy have gone up 1-2% each.

Meanwhile, Tata Motors has shed 5% to Rs 234. Tata Steel has declined 4% to Rs 253.

Sterlite, ICICI Bank, Reliance Infrastructure, SBI and Larsen & Toubro have dropped 2-3% each.
