The Sensex is now up 94 points at 14,592.
ONGC has surged nearly 3% to Rs 1,060. Jaiprakash Associates has gained 2.7% at Rs 167.
SBI and Tata Power have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,444 and Rs 1,060, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has moved up 1.8% to Rs 2,608, and ACC has added 1.5% to Rs 573.
ICICI Bank has advanced 1.3% to Rs 673. TCS, Reliance Infrastructure and Hindustan Unilever are up 1% each at Rs 824, Rs 993 and Rs 245, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure and TCS are up around 1% each at Rs 995 and Rs 822, respectively.
Ranbaxy has plunged 6.5% to Rs 467. Tata Motors has slipped 1.3% to Rs 432.
