The Sensex opened 42 points higher at 11,065. The index soon slipped into red to a low of 11,009. However, the index has rebounded into the positive zone on account of fresh buying in the market. The Sensex is now up 108 points at 11,131.
Tata Motors is up 2.5% at Rs 242. HDFC Bank and Jaiprakash Associates have gained nearly 2% each at Rs 1,090 and Rs 113, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure and Mahindra & Mahindra have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 669 and Rs 459, respectively.
Tata Steel, Grasim and DLF have advanced around 1% each at Rs 261, Rs 1,649 and Rs 232, respectively.
However, Sun Pharma and BHEL are down 1% each at Rs 1,190 and Rs 1,625, respectively.
The other losers are NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Sterlite - down around 1% each.
