Sensex up over 100pts; Jaiprakash soars 6%

The Sensex is now up 106 points at 9,577.

Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed 6% to Rs 83, and Tata Power has surged 5.5% to Rs 729.

DLF has soared 5% to Rs 175. Sterlite has gained 4.5% at Rs 341.

Reliance has rallied 4% to Rs 1,510. Reliance Communications has advanced 3.5% to Rs 167, and Reliance Infrastructure has added 3% to RS 524.

HDFC Bank has moved up nearly 3% to Rs 968. Tata Steel has added 2.5% to Rs 192.

ACC and Larsen & Toubro are up over 2% each at Rs 561 and Rs 621, respectively.

NTPC has plunged nearly 3% to Rs 177. Bharti Airtel has shed 2.3% at Rs 590.

ONGC, Tata Motors and Hindustan Unilever are down 2% each at Rs 764, Rs 159 and Rs 235, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,525 stocks traded so far, 1,248 have declined, 1,177 have advanced and 100 are unchanged.
