Sensex up over 200pts; Wipro, Satyam soar 7%

After opening 185 points higher at 10,160, the Sensex pared gains in early trades and touched a low of 10,039. The index, however, bounced back and rallied to a high of 10,307 soon after. The index is now up 211 points at 10,186.

Wipro and Satyam have zoomed around 7% each to Rs 276 and Rs 284, respectively.

Reliance Communications has surged 5.5% to Rs 247. ITC, ONGC, HDFC Bank and Infosys have rallied around 4% each to Rs 165, Rs 808, Rs 1,066 and Rs 1,250, respectively.

Tata Steel, TCS, ICICI Bank and ACC have moved up over 3.5% each to Rs 258, Rs 471, Rs 406 and Rs 506, respectively.

Sterlite and Reliance Infrastructure are up over 3% each at Rs 281 and Rs 506, respectively.

Grasim has slumped nearly 7% to Rs 1,205.
