The Sensex after paring some gains has once again firmed up and is now up 324 points at 13,724.
Reliance Infrastructure continues to lead the gainers list with a rally of nearly 8% to Rs 1,043. DLF has soared nearly 7% to Rs 288.
ICICI Bank has surged 5.5% to Rs 667. Tata Steel and BHEL have advanced over 5% to Rs 357 and Rs 2,063, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates, HDFC and Grasim are the other major gainers.
The market breadth is also fairly positive - out of 2,454 stocks traded so far, 1,743 have advanced, 645 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
