Sensex volatile in morning trades

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 134 points at 10,876, and touched a high of 10,932 in opening trades. The index thereafter slipped into red to a low of 10,656 - down 276 points from the day's high. The index has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 10 points at 10,752.

Sterlite has soared nearly 4% to Rs 399. Tata Motors has surged 3.3% to Rs 230.

Larsen & Toubro has gained 2.3% at Rs 825. Tata Steel and DLF have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 246 and Rs 215, respectively.

Tata Power and Hindalco are up 1% each at Rs 886 and Rs 59, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 236. ONGC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 893, and ITC is down over 1% at Rs 188.
