Silver futures up 0.4% on global cues
Prices went up as speculators created fresh positions
Press Trust of India New Delhi Silver prices recovered by Rs 167 to Rs 43,429 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the July contract traded Rs 167, or 0.39%, higher at Rs 43,429 per kg in 1,274 lots.
The September contract traded higher by Rs 144, or 0.33%, to Rs 44,062 per kg in 25 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.25% to $22.33 an ounce in Singapore.
