Soyabean prices rose by Rs 16.50 or 0.87 per cent to Rs 1,877 per quintal in futures trade today on increased buying from speculators driven by good trend in spot markets.
Rise in soyabean prices in international markets too helped the trading sentiment, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, soyabean delivery for September contract moved up by Rs 16.50 or 0.87 per cent to Rs 1,877 per quintal, with an open interest of 13,130 lots.
Delivery for June improved by Rs 14.50 or 0.74 per cent at Rs 1,935 per quintal, with an open interest of 68,550 lots.
