Copra edible, copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices declined at the spices market here today due to subdued demand from retailers and millers amidst adequate stocks availability.

Elsewhere, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached also dipped owing to stockists selling coupled with reduced offtake from overseas buyers.

Copra edible Mumbai, copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode went down by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 7,700, Rs 6,700 and Rs 6,600 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 7,800, Rs 6,800 and Rs 6,700.

Black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached fell by Rs 10 per kilo each to Rs 285/305, Rs 165 and Rs 195 respectively, as compared to Rs 285/315, Rs 175 and Rs 205 last weekend.

While, copra Rajapur Mumbai closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Following are today's closing rates in Rs with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 285/305 (285/315), ginger bleached (per kg) 165 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 195 (205), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,700 (6,800)
