Sugar eases on weak retail demand

Sugar prices eased at the Vashi wholesale market here today on reduced demand from retailers coupled with ample stock position.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) dipped by Rs 11/15 per quintal to Rs 2,660/2,760 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,675/2,771.

Small sugar quality (S-30) also inched down by Rs two per quintal to Rs 2,628/2,680, as against Rs 2,630/2,680.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,628/2,680 (Rs 2,630/ 2,680) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,660/2,760 (Rs 2,675/2,771)
