Small sugar prices edged up at the Vashi wholesale market here today on stray retail demand, while medium sugar variety moved down owing to reduced buying from stockists.
Small sugar quality (S-30) advanced by Rs three per quintal to Rs 2,628/2,680 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,625/2,680.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) however, eased by Rs five per quintal to Rs 2,675/2,771, as against Rs 2,680/2,771 yesterday.
