Tech view: Sensex may move in 14,400-14,800 band

Ispat Industries surged over 8% to a high of Rs 22.10. It finally ended with a gain of 7% at Rs 21.85. Hefty volumes of 18.98 million shares were traded on the BSE today.

Ispat Industries has added inspite of reporting a loss in FY09.

The stock opened at Rs 20.35 and then slipped 2% to a low of Rs 20.05. The stock touched a high of Rs 21, up 3% from the previous close and is now trading at Rs 20.90, up 2.5%. The counter has seen hefty volumes of 3.48 million shares being traded on the BSE so far.

The company has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 689.81 crore in the year ending March, 2009. The net profit of the company in the previous fiscal stood at Rs 30.79 crore. The total income has decreased 1.3% to Rs 8,538.99 crore from Rs 8,658.54 crore.
