Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament on Tuesday held discussions with the Tobacco Board head, Regional Manager and other officers, and ITC and other buyers of tobacco against the background of the fall in tobacco prices.
As a result of the elaborate discussions, the tobacco price might go up in the next 10 days, he said in a release and asked growers not to take tobacco to the Tobacco Board for selling for the next 10 days unless it is very essential for them. They could sell subsequently for a profit.
