Transformers and Rectifiers rallies on technology pact with Japanese firm

The stock rallied 12% to Rs 192 on National Stock Exchange.

Transformers and Rectifiers (TRIL) has rallied 12% to Rs 192 on NSE after the company said it has entered into the technology license agreement with a Japanese firm Fuji Electrical Company.

As a part of this agreement, Fuji Electrical, a leading manufacturer of power transmission and distribution equipment firm, grants the license to TRIL in India to use its technology and know-how; to design, manufacturer, assemble, inspect and sale of generator and shunt reactors. The agreement will be valid for the period of 10 years, TRIL said in a statement.

The technology transfer will help TRIL to enter into new horizons in manufacturing of high end reactors and transformers, it added.

The stock opened at Rs 176 and hit a high of Rs 202 on NSE. A combined around 43,000 shares changed hands on the counter till 1124 hours on NSE and BSE.
