Turmeric futures prices declined by 1% to Rs 4,760 per quintal today on supplies from the new season crop and estimates of a bumper crop.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in May month declined by Rs 48, or 1%, to Rs 4,760 per quintal, with an open interest of 8,785 lots.
April turmeric moved down by Rs 44, or 0.91%, to Rs 4,792 per quintal in 4,794 lots.
Market analysts attributed to fall in turmeric futures to increased supplies and expectations of bumper crops this season.
