Turmeric, jeera fall on subdued demand

Turmeric and jeera prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from stockists as well as exporters amid adequate stocks.

Turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 8,400-14,400 per quintal. 

Jeera common and jeera best quality prices also fell further by Rs 200 each to finish at Rs 14,400-14,600 and Rs 16,600-16,700 per quintal, respectively.

Market analysts said subdued demand from stockists as well as exporters, amid adequate stocks mainly pulled down the turmeric and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
