Markets have turned volatile in late morning trades. The Sensex touched a high of 17,950 before touching a low of 17,892. The index again recovered but has now started dropping once again.
The Sensex is now flat at 17,920.
Nifty is up five points at 5,383.
Among the sectoral losers, oil & gas index has dropped 0.5% to 10,509. Metal and power indices are also in red.
TCS continues to be the top gainer among index stocks. The stock has rallied 5% to Rs 821.
ICICI Bank has jumped 1.5% to Rs 895. Tata Motors and Jaiprakash Associates have added around 1% each to Rs 818 and Rs 130, respectively.
However, HDFC has dropped 1.2% to Rs 3,008. HDFC Bank has dropped 1% to Rs 2,040. Reliance is down 1% at Rs 1,064.
