Wall Street opens lower after GE, Google results

US stocks edged lower at the open on Friday after GE and Google results fell short of expectations and as investors looked for a resolution in the latest round of Greek debt talks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 8.17 points, or 0.06%, at 12,632.15. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 3.09 points, or 0.24%, at 1,311.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 8.19 points, or 0.29%, at 2,780.14.
