Walnut prices rose in the range of Rs 10-50 per kg in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists to meet the marriage season demand.
Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.
Walnut prices rose up to Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 80-150 and its kernel (superior quality) traded up by Rs 300-500 against previous closing of Rs 300-450 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet the marriage season demand against tight supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up walnut prices in dry fruits market here.
